It may be a chemical pregnancy and it is possible you had a miscarriage, BUT in very very rare occasions women bleed and are still pregnant. It could be something inside bleeding. You need to tell the doctor and get an ultrasound so they can look for a sac. all the best.

A: Your pregnancy is ectopic (meaning there is a baby growing in a place other than your uterus. This is potentially FATAL. You NEED to see a doctor. Cramping is also a sign of this.
or
B: You have some "breakthrough" bleeding. I had that with my son. Its normal. When you see your OB/GYN they will check the level of hormones in your blood. This is also how they guarantee pregnancy. I had this done and needed medication to help my body sustain pregnancy because the hormone levels werent as high as they should be.
Good luck with everything either way!

I too am in the same boat..... I am a week late, took a test yesterday late afternoon, said negative. Decided to take again this morning (first urine), waiting for the results and look in the potty, I am bleeding. Guess that answered my question, right? No, the test finishes and it clearly says PREGNANT! I want to be pregnant so bad I was beginning to wonder if I was tricking myself into believing I am. So now what? Let me know how your answers work out. julieheugel@yahoo.com

If in fact you are pregnant, this is called break through bleeding, it isn't an actual period. you may notice that it is lighter flow, different in color, or that you don't bleed as long. this is normal and doesn't mean you are not pregnant.

you could be bleeding because of implantation bleeding (google implantation bleeding and it should answer questions you have about that)....
you should go to the doctor to get an official answer though..
good luck!
